I am a dedicated primary school teacher based in Hermanus, Western Cape, with more than thirty years of experience in child development and holistic education. My journey began when I owned and managed the nursery school Faerieland, where I discovered my passion for nurturing young learners and supporting their early growth. I hold a Higher Education Diploma in Senior Primary Education and spent over twenty years teaching Grades 4 and 5 at St Paulus Primary School in Pretoria. I am also a certified Brain Profile Assessor and Learning Specialist, as well as a qualified tennis coach and motivational speaker. I am registered with the South African Council for Educators and have strong skills in assessment, behaviour management and curriculum design. Fluent in Afrikaans and English, I continue to inspire learners through creative, positive and interactive teaching.

I believe that learning should be age appropriate, engaging and multi sensory, with lessons that build confidence and support long term academic growth. I tailor instruction to meet diverse needs, encourage active and cooperative learning, and set achievable goals that help learners feel secure and motivated. I have five years of teaching experience in both in person and online settings and hold an Honours degree in Education along with a TEFL or TESOL certification. My experience includes working with primary learners, supporting diverse learning needs and providing individualised academic guidance. I enjoy creating creative and engaging lessons that help learners build confidence and deepen their understanding. I believe learning should be fun, interactive and suited to each child’s pace, and I work to make lessons memorable, motivating and supportive. I bring strengths in creative lesson planning, curriculum support and building strong relationships with learners and parents. Being organised and adaptable helps me meet different learning goals and support each student effectively.
